Summary0000363: Fortran compiler as a part of GCC?
DescriptionHello Paul!

Do you think it would be possible to include the GNU Fortran compiler in your OS/2 port of GCC? I am currently trying to port the newest GNU Octave to OS/2 using your GCC 4.4.0 and the build always fails with the Fortran shipped with the original EMX (version 0.5, about 10 years old). The G2C compiler would also be fine :-)

Thank you very much! Jarda

http://smedley.info/gcc-4.4.0-os2-20090529.zip [^] includes the fortran compiler but it's untested.

Excellent work!
Now it compiles 100% of Fortran sources from Octave.
Thank you very much.

(But there is another issue with compiling Octave, I'll open a new ticket.)

Thanks - now to think about how to distribute this - ie include it with the normal C/C++ distro - or try and make it a bolt-on package to reduce the download size...
